I meant that the seed was 1 on #1 and 0 on #2 #3 #4 but even with 0 they downloaded ok.

Back in the day, TPB relied heavily on sharing advertising revenue with the top super-seeders. Hence the whole community sharing thing was a bit of a joke. Some geeks at UTZ did a whole study on it, before the big bust.

I'm reckon you're doing it right.

Depending on the client you use, you can set the upload speed, which if it's low, can be a pain for whomever is leeching.

Other than that, if you live where they bust users in swarms, then just make sure you're protected.

I'd share on a private BT tracker, if I didn't have to pay for anything.

I was very active on BT back in the day, but I never seeded much after I got what I wanted.

When BT became a bust, I used a special client than never uploaded and only downloaded, thinking that would be safe. It worked great, but I found out it was still a bust, so I moved on to other sources.

Funny how I don't even have any of that video anymore I got via BT, as it's all been deleted or replaced with much better versions, thanks to RMZ and such.

The best source ever though was FileMare, which was a search engine of open, static, FTP file servers. Among others, it indexed home servers hosted by cable companies such as Comcast. Yup, Comcast actually hosted pirated media that was open to anyone, and the DL speeds were FAST. Ha!

After FileMare died, I still had about 50 FTP sites that were still active for some time, before those too eventually died or got pass protected, with no thanks to the mobs on reddit who found and shared those links and killed it all with their heavy traffic, which is still a thing at r/opendirectories.

Puffer is a legit Stanford University research study, that offers free streaming of CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, PBS, and CW, to users in the USA.
