Actually it's not a comedy or spoof at all. It's a dramatic parody of the Lifetime movie genre...if that even makes sense. LOL It basically contains every trope that a Lifetime movie has ever had but does it subtly. I've been watching Lifetime movies for what seems like my lifetime, so I spotted them all. If the viewer has never watched any, they probably won't even notice half of them.

Lifetime actually commissioned it to mark their 25th anniversary of making TV movies. Trust me, they've gone downhill since they first started making them but this one was a pleasant surprise. Actually most movies that Lifetime air on a weekly basis are Canadian TV movies that they buy to air in the US.

Hey, at least it was better than that horror that was "Double Daddy" a few weeks ago. (Thanks Canada! )
