I doubt the series will be picked up. Black Sails is a prequel to the book 'Treasure Island' by Robert Louis Stevenson, published in 1883. There have been many movie adaptations of the book over the years, 1934, 1950, 1990, 2012, and even a muppet version in 1996. For more piratey goodness, take your pick.

Heavy handed? There are people here from all over the world. I didn't want to assume TonyS or anyone else knew about Treasure Island.
I agree the production is amazing, and would love to see more storytelling on this scale, whether it's another story or about Silver's life between the end of Black Sails and his appearance in Treasure Island.
