This one here also from Russian P2P , PHD just downloads them from Russia and unchecks the Russian audio and Remux , I never wait on PHD to be posted on blogs I always have them if out in Russia 1st before they get to English sites.

I'm not an encoder, please explain, does a higher bit rate provide a better picture? Or does a higher pixels matter more? Why the different fps? Two samples of this movie:

Video from NO1KNOWS:
Bit rate : 1 432 Kbps
Width : 720 pixels
Height : 304 pixels
Display aspect ratio : 2.35:1
Frame rate : 23.976 fps

Video from Inferno:
Bit rate : 1 763 Kbps
Width : 720 pixels
Height : 304 pixels
Display aspect ratio : 2.35:1
Frame rate : 25.000 fps

@Excalibur NO1KNOWS is done from Itunes WEB-DL

Inferno is done from Lower quality HDTV

Itunes WEB-DL is next best thing to Bluray This why they different frame rate.

And Higher Bitrates would make it maybe look better If they was from the same source, but in this case were there not the same source, higher bitrates doesn't matter because the one with the higher bitrates is of worse quality.

Also encoding XVID has a lot to do with who is encoding it .

Rule of thumb though because XviD is encoded at 2 pass if done right the higher the bitrates the better is going to look if done from the same source , but you should never exceed the bitrates of your source, because then you have fake bitrates . If its say 720 pixels done in XVID the higher bitrates the better.

Were using the H264 codec x264 you can CRC encode it much smaller and keep most of its quality if you use enough reframes to compress it very well.
