Another bad rip from Fido. Once again they changed the frame rate from 24 FPS to 25 FPS. This causes the run length to go from 98 minutes to 94 minutes and messes with the audio.

Source is "Blu-Ray France Sony"
Some BR are made at 24 fps. Some are at NTSC or PAL.
In France TVs are, like most of the world outside the US, PAL: 25 fps.
Fido wouldn't bother to change the frame rate.
Sony aren't idiots. Tone is adjusted. The difference is imperceptible.

Anyway, if you really believe it should be 24 fps, you can just slow down the playback speed 4%.

TomMix, I am aware that some BluRays run at 30 or 25 FPS. However, the professionals (like Sony) add duplicate frames to "pad" the movie. Given the change in run time, I believe Fido made the mistake here.

I probably am more sensitive to the audio distortion than most people. I tried slowing down playback with VLC (using the menu) but the audio became very distorted.

If you know another way to fix the problem, I would be very appreciative!

Well, I'm not interested in the film enough to download it, so I can't check out the specs.

A French release very likely would be PAL 25 fps, if that was done by duping frames you could see that by stepping through it. More likely just sped up. But audio can have "tempo" changed with a sophisticated filter so the speed changes and the tone is the same. Can't really fault the rippers for not trying to reverse that.
(NTSC though should be IVTC to 23.997; at least for DVD. BR has more possibilities.)
