Hi guys, I'd been having problems with RAR files downloaded from Openload in the past 2 weeks - I got the corrupted file prompt on every single 1 of them. Is anyone else having this problem, or does anyone know what's wrong here?

I have no problems with extracting from RAR files downloaded from another encoder, so I don't think it is a problem with my WinRAR?

Update your WinRAR. RMZ started using a new version and the RARs are incompatible with the older ones.

Is there a chance to place the hevc.x265.rmteam version with the soundtrack intact? (instead of aac)

It is not a problem for me to take the audio out of the source and mux with the hevc version. But maybe there would be interest in such a version?

Not sure if there'd be many takers. I feel like most of the regulars here tend to prioritize small file size over quality. Also, Admin hardly ever responds to any requests, pleas, appeals or supplications...

Bandizip is another very good free archiver program that's worth a try. It comes recommended by tech site gHacks.

recently after obtaining a RAR file via openload, the file is unknown format or empty even though the file sizes shows the expected MB ... any suggestions on opening such files?

Check if the program you're using to unpack those RARs is up to date. Alternatively, you could try any of the ones that have been mentioned here by other users, they should do the job.

Surely, you must have heard of JDownloader? You just copy the link and done, no need to deal with fake download buttons, ads or any of that other crap.

BTW, if I go to openload and download a file, I don't see a single ad or anything. I use uBlock as my adblocker, which is what everyone should switch to, as it is vastly superior to all the other ones out there.

RMZ is now using a newer RAR compression RAR5. You need recent Winrar or 7-zip to extract. Also this affects jDownloader. To auto extract RAR5 you need to add these files:

@ Bruce Willis naa I have a premium account I use BUT every now & then it gives Rapid a hard time so I use the ordinary links lol. Yeah I use AdblockPlus which doesn't always stop stuff & I don't find it as strong using W10. Interesting blocker U have will check it out as often openload will not let you have the file unless you turn the blocker off & refresh the page. Have taken a note thxs. Gee its nice to have a normal conversation without all the swearing etc LOL

You're welcome. Just make sure it's uBlock Origin developed Raymond Hill )gorhill). There are other extensions using the name "UBlock" and they are basically what all the fake TomMixes are to the real deal.

Yep, AdblockPlus is not always reliable. It also has an "acceptable ads" programme, meaning it takes money from advertisers and allows their ads to show up in return.

I cannot seem to get the Popular Week/Month view to work. Only the Popular Today seems to show correct results. Like if I show films by Popular Year, I would expect it to show films from 2019, but it shows 2017 films, and always the same ones, they have not changed for over a year. Its the same with the Weekly results, no change for over a year. I use VPN Area and Brave browser with rmz.cr added to whitelist in Brave.

@MichaelMyers Hmmm...i found this on an upcoming horror movie list. It said The Final Wish 24 January Digital/VOD. But they may be wrong. Thanks for letting me know the BR/DVD release date though.
