@ anyone that likes fun
"Look At Me"

Good-looking, bad-tasting
Full-bodied, butt-wasting
Loose-living, tight-fitting
What you see ain't what you are getting
Big make-up, little break-up
She wants it, he's got it
Cold-blooded, hot gossip
Superficial expectations

Green-eyed sycophant pushy mother lost brother in real hot pants heart-breakin'

"Sometime"

Treat me right, keep me safe
Show me love, I'll embrace
If you take me home, where I was born
I'd find peace of mind, somehow
Look for light for your conception
Lay me down for your inspection
Somehow we'll find a way
Sometime but not today
There's somethin' I need to say
Somehow we'll find a way
I wish this was yesterday

Hey this is so easy
Then maybe tomorrow I'll remeber, sometime
Give me hope, in life I pray
But it's good when I'm bad
I'm sorry to say
So when I feel you inside, deep within me
I'd find peace of mind, somehow.
I'm a living breathing contradiction
Can't go through this crucifixion
Sacrifice love for affection
There's pain in pleasure's resurrection
After the rain, then comes the sun
We will be one again
An aphrodisiac rejection, immaculate

Awwwwwww come on mate I thought you would appreciate me finding out that singer Geri. Awesome music as I had never heard of her at all. I was actually trying to fill a page so us good folk could carry on with normal stuff. Sorry if you took it the wrong way

@Upx

OMG! You are right! they took it down! Sorry friends, I really thought I watched it more recently than 1 year?

Right now I like Widow's Bay. Fresh comedic take on old tales/small old town horror... Matthew Rhys (of The Americans) ix excellent as the Mayor who didn't believe and turned the place in a tourist destination... And now fears more than locals did! The secondary characters are colourful, good casting. Like I fool, I also watched The Boys...it expected the violence but it was SO unnecessarily vulgar (just for the sake of it, and really didn't wrap up well. (I tought if there was ONE superhero thing I'd watch it's be this one... Beliving social commentary would save it... I'll steer clear now)

I might start watching "mint"... Modern day Romeo and Juliet, gangs of London and pretty love hallucinations... One episode was ok, can it stay fun? I'll see. cheers!

Ps I wish I knew how to upload thing, I really thing Sunny not being available is a loss for many people

@waanaabe

I liked The Boys, and the finale was satisfying. But I'm okay with it ending.
Will probably give the next season of Gen V a shot...

Emma Laird was pretty good in The Mayor of Kingstown, so I gave Mint a chance. Even though I'm not generally a fan of gangs/mafia/mob type shows. The 'imaginations' were visually cool. But in the end, not real, so a bit disappointing. I stopped on episode 2. If you watch it, please let me know what you think.

Do you live in the UK?

@upx

No, not in the UK but I like what comes out of there, generally: art, music, series... I always peak at new things.
There was a series (I forgot the name, just a few years back) with this woman and her kid... She has a really hard time keeping them afloat; it starts with her working in a peep show... She's a big woman, sassy, quick witted and tough (a 'dramedy"?)It's just one season but the actress is great.
I own it but can't find LOL on account of ??? the title.

You are right about "Mint"; IDK if the surreal is enough to keep watching but excactly why I thought it might be worth a try.

About the Boys... There is something about my favourite characters being the only non-Americans AND being dead at the end? Americans LOVE a "good ending", but "all is good" and "happily ever after" does not fit every story. I thought Kimiko still holding on to Frenchie after time would NOT be "all smiles" on her own; I'd rather she'd died a hero and took all the Supes with her (after all, it IS a violent show, and in a "who lives by the sword dies by it" type of way, expected "scorched earth" on the menu, with humans putting all this "Supe" mega error in the rear mirror (certainly not Vaught rebuilding?) Anyways, just MHO -cheers!

PS: Are YOU in the UK?
PPS: I might watch "Mia". I saw a video saying it was Angelina Jolie when she was "pure", herself and a big mess, honest, not yet "Hollywoodized", and that the "Mia" in question was quite a raw character too.

@waanaabe

My favorite reviewer/explainer, Think Story, had a semi-decent, "How it should have ended" vids about The Boys, here -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwOVc8oji7s

I don't agree with everything he said, but at least it wasn't as horrific of an ending as the last season of GoT.

Nice to see that HL & the Deep got their 'just desserts'. Kimiko & Starlight were 2 of my series favorites, wish they could have stayed together at the end.
Also, should Starlight be fighting crime? She looks like she's going to pop soon :-)

.

Are you talking about this M.I.A. -- https://rmz.cr/mia-2026

"Etta Tiger Jonze" was a decent character going thru hell. And deciding to take matters into her own hands... she was mostly, understandably "raw" / angry / impulsive / inconsiderate a few times.
Not perfect, but I like the show (including her hot aunt) enough to get thru it pretty quick. I'm hoping s2 turns out well too.

.

I'm in Arizona. You?

No offense to you and the UK / World, but imho, Hollywood (money & talent) tends to make the best movies/shows. And even then, I only like about 5% or less, of their best stuff.

It's very rare that the UK/world makes something I really like. Jekyll (2007), https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0497298, was an exception which I remember liking. Same with 2008's Slumdog Millionaire.

I didn't see the 28 Days/Weeks Later movies, but my high expectations lead to high disappointment with 28 Years Later. It felt so "off", that it sometimes seemed like a student film.

And then there was the highly acclaimed, Parasite (2019, from Korea -- imdb.com/title/tt6751668). It was well made... but I guess it didn't "gel" with me like it did with most others (people/critics).

I'm probably bias. /EndRant

Cheers.

@upx

Of course you're biased: we all are! We come in with our own background and life experience, and our interpretations are bound to reflect that. I'm GLAD you were good with the ending! And for Parasite... I love social commentary, and it was a really vivid one. As it was more of a commentary and less character-driven (which I think you prefer), I makes sense. I'm more mood/commentary driven. But most things are a mix of both!

About MIA... TYPO! I meant "Gia", a sort of biopic about an untamable Model (when supermodels weren't a "thing" yet). I find biopics hard to watch when I know the person, but the YT video that made me want to watch was talking about women who defy norms and was saying that Angelina Jolie, in THAT period ('98-2002) was just as wild as the characters she portrayed (the other being in "Girl, Interrupted" which I'm not keen on) so I guess I'll see what the fuss is about!

It's funny that you mentioned GoT because it's now the modern reference for "fuck up" (the last season) pretty much internationally: "At least it didn't end like GoT" is where the low bar's at ???? On to watch Terror 3 now,-Cheers
